M.I.T.E (Maori into Tertiary Education) is a combined initiative between Te Wananga o Aotearoa, Manukau Institute of Technology and Unitec to do exactly what the name implies. I was asked to design the logo bringing together the three institutes and an uplifting feel.

Well the TWOA website is going through an overhaul in the next couple of days, but for the last year and a half and about 700 webpages later my design has done the job.
Built using Typo3.

Part of today was spent designing this – its going to be a 2m x 2m corflute print for use at Mata Wananga – Te Wananga o Aotearoas huge annual staff meeting.
Also, just for fun gonna put up track of the days on here – first one is Morgan Page – Fight for You (which I got over at RCRD LBL)

Also today I’ve been continuing doing more Stair Casings posters (along the lines of this one) for various departments of the Wananga. Looking forward to seeings these printed.

So part of today was used to develop the ‘Health and Safety’ brand for the department of the same name within Te Wananga o Aotearoa. I used a cross with a maori twist not mad happy with the colours but the client loves them and its a huge step in the right direction from what they got me to do initially – which involved Yellow, Green and Blue! mmmm

3.5m high map in the head office of the main service centres of Te Wananga o Aotearoa.

Been pretty flat out working on the Prospectus for 2010, heres the cover based on a piece of artwork the CEO wanted used, turned out pretty nice.

Todays most interesting thing was laying up this A3-folded-to-A4 brochure for the IT department at TWOA. Its an information booklet for students to log into and use there mail.

Promotional Poster for Working for Students (A3).

Poster & Banner for the Treaty of Waitangi celebrations 2010.

Aotearoa Film Festival 2010 – an A2 poster folded 5 times to a A5 booklet for use as a poster & event information booklet.

Heres the cover and a couple of spreads of what I’ve laid up (almost) a 26 page A5 booklet today. Its an introduction booklet to new students at Te Wananga o Aotearoa, very basic – following the brand guidelines. Still a work in progress but thats been my day thus far.

This is one of 5 posters (800×600) displaying the ’stair-casing’ of programmes available at Te Wananga o Aotearoa. The brief was to base it around the idea/design of a ‘Poutama’, I used a bit of creative licence on that and adapted it to display in a more flowing manner.
